Robot-Assisted Ultrasound Imaging
Description
We aim to integrate robotic systems with ultrasound imaging for real-time guidance in minimally invasive interventions. Your task will be to design robotic platforms and develop algorithms that enable ultrasound probe positioning, stabilization, and image-guided feedback control.
Successful applicants will work on interdisciplinary projects spanning:
- Medical imaging and ultrasound physics
- Robotics and automation
- Mechatronic design
- Image processing and AI
- Robot-assisted intervention
Education & Experience
Applicant should
- have background in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics
- have high motivation
- have good oral and written communication skills in English
- be able to work on-site at METU Ankara
Applicant should have experience/knowledge in following areas:
- Medical imaging (ultrasound preferred)
- Robotics and mechatronics
- Programming (C++, Python, ROS, MATLAB)
- Image processing and machine learning
- CAD design
- Embedded systems (optional)
- Control theory (optional)
